The USE 33 quickly and gently targets and breaks crystalline structures of calcium phosphate, magnesium phosphate and calcium carbonate.

Using USE33 decreases decalcification time by up to 75% for bone marrow biopsies, femoral heads, nasal and auditory cartilages, and up to 60% for material containing high levels corticalis. 

​​

The gentle method of decalcification ensures there is no tissue shrinkage or swelling, and tissue morphology and antigenicity remain intact allowing for subsequent immunohistochemistry testing.

MEDITE TES99

​

The TES99 is made up of modules for heating, dispensing and cooling which can be placed in whichever configuration the user chooses. Larger labs can facilitate a large throughput by having multiple heating and cooling units. Each unit has its own individual temperature control. The ergonomic, insulated and uncluttered design allows for user comfort during long periods of use. 

​

 

Heating Module

The heating unit comprises of a heated bath at the base of the unit which will accommodate almost any type of sample basket. The top part of the unit has a cover that can be opened and closed to ensure temperature stability. Embedding moulds and cassettes can be kept heated in this area. A removable cassette tray made of stainless steel can be placed within for better organisation of cassettes.

Dispenser Module

The dispenser unit has a large 5.7 litre capacity wax tank which can be activated by either by hand, using the the dispense control, or via a foot switch. The uncluttered working area is illuminated by an adjustable lamp and has a well proportioned cold spot. Two connections for heated forceps add to the user friendly design.

Cooling Modules

Modules are available in Medium and Large Sizes and allow up to 80 and 110 blocks respectively to be cooled at any one time. Both sizes benefit from the same insulated ergonomic design as the Dispenser and Heating modules for ease of use and easy cleaning.

BEC 150

​

The BEC 150 Embedding Station is ergonomically designed for comfort and ease of working. The modular Cold Plate can be paced to the left or right of the system, and the fully programable, easy to use touchscreen control panel ensures the user can personalise all parameters for optimum working.

The adjustable LED lights provide a bright working area and the oversized cold spot enables all cassette sizes to be handled with ease. Coloured status lights enable users to see when the system is ready for work and cardboard drawer liners ensure cleaning is simple and easy.

​

The L15 has a very high capacity which ensures even the biggest labs can always molten wax ready at all times.

​

The space saving design ensures the L15 has a very small footprint for such a high capacity device, ensuring the most economical use of the laboratory bench. 

 

The non drip dispense nozzle is positioned centrally, allowing enough space below for large containers to be filled.

​

The temperature can be user selected via the digital control panel to ensure optimal working. 


A transparent lid with ergonomic handle covers the wax tank, making it easy to view the fill level.

MEDITE A550
 

The fully automatic Microtome A550 is a premium microtome developed and manufactured in Germany by microtome experts with many decades of experience. As a result, A550 is ergonomics, precision, consistency and balance personified. 

​

The specimen feed and retraction are fully automatic. The cutting stroke can be either automatic for ease and comfort, or manual for when extra sensitive cuts are required to further protect very fragile tissue samples.
 

Settings relevant to the sections are entered via the intuitively operated digital control panel. 

​

The side controls allow fine and coarse adjustment. The larger rotary control is linked to the specimen clamp and the lower rotary control allows the sectioning speed to be changed for trimming and fine sectioning applications.

​

The memory function allows user defined selections to be saved and scrolled between at the push of a button. The retraction can be selected variably and the sections are counted automatically. The start and stop function of the vertical cutting stroke can be operated via the keyboard or the optional foot switch. The sectioning speed is infinitely variable.

 

A fine adjustment mechanism is already integrated as standard feature of the specimen clamp holder. The specimen clamp can be aligned horizontally and vertically, both orientations give great stability.

​

For added safety the spring lever brake can be operated mechanically.

​

Section waste is collected in the large removable tray on the front of the Microtome A550 to keep the work area free.

Section Transfer System

MEDITE AQ 540

​

When the AQ 540 Section Transfer System is paired with the A550 Microtome the collection of even the most challenging sections and floating out is automated for perfect sections every time. 

​

After cutting with the special blade holder, the section is immediately stretched due to the temperature-controlled laminar water film, the flow of which is fully adjustable.

​

When the transfer bridge is open, the wet cutting waste is led straight into the waste container. With the bridge closed, the selected sections are moved into the temperature-controlled illuminated water bath. 

​

All settings are carried out via the touch display on the front.

The automated specimen feed and retraction provide precision and consistency and the sensitivity and balance provided by the manual hand wheel ensure optimal section quality. 

 

Settings can be adjusted via the intuitive control panel. Fine and coarse adjustments can be made at the push of a button. Up to three sectioning positions can be saved and selected at the push of a button using the memory function. Specimen retraction can be selected variably. Sections are automatically counted.

MEDITE M630 

​

The Cryostat M630 is extensively equipped for high-speed cryo sectioning, with powerful cooling and a high-precision, semi-automatic microtome.

 

The standard model comes with a specimen clamp with fine adjustment and UV disinfection.

​

Due to the ergonomic design incorporating lets of room beneath the working area, the M630 can be used in sitting and standing positions. Two fixed height adjustments are available, to enable the purchaser to configure. 

​

The cooling chamber is beautifully illuminated with an adjustable LED light. The powerful cooling unit temperature goes down to -35 °C.

 

Inside the cooling chamber is a deep freezing rail with 15 positions for tissue samples. This includes two quick freeze positions that can cool down to 20 °C below chamber temperature and can be set separately. There is an optional electronically cooled specimen clamp that cools to -45°Ccooling the tissue sample even faster ready for sectioning. The cooling chamber has a transparent pane that is heated to avoid the formation of condensation.

​

The microtome and cooling chamber are controlled via individual control panels. They are positioned above the cooling chamber for easy access and intuitive to use.

 

M630 can be defrosted manually, or automatically using the timer function. The smooth stainless steel surfaces of the cooling chamber allow easy cleaning and disinfection. Condensation drains in to separate collecting vessel via the integrated drainage system.

​

The perfectly balanced handwheel is lockable to prevent unintentional movements, protecting samples and users. The horizontal feed and sample retraction are automated. 

​

A fine adjustment mechanism is integrated as standard with the specimen clamp holder. The specimen clamp can be aligned horizontally and vertically and is characterized by its particular stability. The blade holder can be easily corrected using an angle mark. The blade clamp is adjustable via grids in order to use the blade precisely and to its full extent. It also has a manual guard.

In the age of digital pathology, high quality and consistent coverslipping is more important than ever. The digital scanning process is interrupted too often by badly mounted glass coverslips, causing wasted time and delayed delivery of the images to the pathologist.

The Twister tape/film coverslipper removes the breakages associated with glass coverslipping, and provides high quality film/tape covering with speed and reliability whilst ensuring the best possible slide is presented to the digital pathology image scanner. 

​

Twister can coverslip up to 1200 slides per hour and has fast loading and unloading stations. 

​

The touchscreen user interface allows cover size to be user determined.
